The JaneDear girls lead releases

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 – The duo The JaneDear girls released their debut, self-titled disc today on Warner. Wildflower is among the songs sung by Danelle Leverett of Texas and Susie Brown of Utah. The disc has a glossy sound.

Joe Mullins & the Radio ramblers go the gospel route with "Hymns From the Hills" (Rebel). The title is the name of a radio show started by Mullins' father back at a radio station in Ohio.

), Carrie Rodriguez has a new partner this time out with Ben Kyle. The duo put out "We Still Love Our Country" (Ninth Street Opus). Rodriguez has released albums previously with Chip Taylor.

Humorous singer Todd Snider goes "Live: The Storyteller" (Aimless) on his own label. Snider spices up the songs with a lot of stories.

Texas swing trio Hot Club of Cowtown return with "What Makes Bob Holler" (Proper), a tribute to Bob Wills.

Editorial: Walking the talk – When names like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon and the Hag are invoked, you're talking hard core country. These are the touchstones of country , the guys who made country music what it was and still is (or maybe can be).
