The Roys

I recently got an e-mail from Mike in Ashby, Mass. and he let me know that the The Roys hail from Leominster, Mass. So another contribution that the Bay State has made to country music.

The Roys' current single is "Grandpa's Barn," about remembering a grandfather who recently died. Lee and Elaine, the duo that makes up The Roys, are touring with George Jones in eastern Canada now. They'll also be in Key West, Las Vegas and Nashville.

But the "Workin' Girl Blues" singers haven't forgot their blue collar roots - they'll be playing Central Massachusetts dates later this year in Shirley (July 18 at The Bull Run), and Oct. 25 in Gardner (Acadien Club)
