Otto goes No. 1

Mike Sudhalter  |  May 7, 2008

Glad to see that James Otto went No. 1 with "Just Got Started Lovin' You." It's about time something good happened to a Muzik Mafia member. That's right, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy. Y'all can't get a top 20 hit to save your....well, anyways. What's up with all these stupid greatest hits packages with like one new song. Yeah, Toby Keith? You've got to work a little harder than that to get our attention.

The Kenny Chesney concert at AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants) is less than a month away, and I can't wait to attend the largest country music concert in the history of northern California.

But, wow, how lame is northern California when it comes to country music? We don't have too many venues for artists to perform. In the Central Valley, you're going to travel at least an hour to most shows (save for the county fairs and a few scattered performances here and there). Heck, Sacramento is the state's capital, a self-professed cowtown that doesn't have a respectable honky-tonk. Oh well.
