Opry's got it right

I was glad to see that the Grand Ole Opry added a new show called "Opry Country Classics" on Thursday nights. Country has moved too far from its roots in recent years, and it's a good move by the Opry to bring back some of that tradition.

I've always wanted to hear some of the younger artists tackle some of the older, more traditional material, and this show seems like a great opportunity for them to do just that.

The Opry's Saturday night show is mostly traditional, so I doubt this will make much of a difference with newer fans. But the purists deserve something like this, and I think it's way overdue.
