A Texan, at last

Mike Sudhalter  |  August 13, 2008

Things have been hectic this week between moving and adjusting to my new job, but I love Texas and love being a Texan. I've never lived in a state where people had this much pride. Some say it's annoying, but I think it's awesome. Plus, it makes a newcomer proud to call Texas home. If everyone else likes where they're living, it becomes both obvious and contagious.

My car was shipped last Wednesday, two days before I flew out, and it finally arrived here today. I'm still waiting for all my furniture to arrive - the ETA is early next week.

The country music sounds better, when you're listening to it on the radio. Maybe, it's just the fact that I'm listening to George Strait and thinking, wow, I'm listening to it, and I'm in Texas!

As for concerts, I'm planning on seeing Aaron Watson on Saturday night in Spring. Hopefully, he'll sing "Songs About Saturday Night."
