George's Bar

There might have to be a new song written about this place. It might go something like this - Hurricane Ike hit Houston and I lost power. So, I needed to leave town and decided on Waco. One of the coolest things there is George's Bar.

But guess what? It's closed on Sundays. And apparently, in this "college town", you can't order pizza past 11 p.m. on Sundays either.

So, here I am in Waco and fixin' to go to George's later on today. We'll see if Pat Green's favorite haunt is as excellent as advertised.

More blogging to come later, I apologize for the technical difficulties, but it's good to be outside of Houston for the time being, given the gas and food shortages.

For me, though, it was just an inconvenience. Please pray for those who lost much more.
