Sticks and Stones
Mike Sudhalter | February 2, 2009
I'd heard this song before by Tracy Lawrence but never really felt every word until recently, when I experienced it on a much smaller scale.
It's a great song, and I've found that hearing something you can relate to really soothes the soul during a tough time. And I love the feeling of "Wow, now I get it" when hearing a song. I guess that's just part of experiencing life, and it's well known that most country music songs are just straight-forward tales about life.
The biggest thing I take from this sad ballad is that love is always more important than material posessions, however small they may be.
