Sorority Girls

Mike Sudhalter  |  March 7, 2009

I am a big fan of Luke Bryan.

His debut album, I'll Stay Me, was a victory for good ole country music fans everywhere. And it was also somewhat of a proclamation, I'm going to be the same guy who rode in to town, even though I've found some success.

I believe Bryan will continue that sound that brought him to the top of the charts, but is it necessary to have a song dedicated to such a specific audience - sorority girls?

I say, yes. The sorority girls around the nation will love the song - one of the few tributes to them, musically - and Bryan fans will be excited about it as well, because it's so catchy.

I remember hearing a snippet of the song on YouTube and wondering whether Bryan would ever release it as a single.

It's going to be his next single. But if I could have one request, I'd like to see the South Georgia native do a cover song of Conway Twitty or John Anderson on his next album. If the sorority constituency of his fan base is getting props, how about some for the traditional country - Bryan's true base.
