Keith Urban

Remember when he spelled his entire name in lowercase letters? What was up with that?

So, for a long time I just thought Urban was another artist that had nothing to do with country music. To this day, I still do not own any of his albums.

I always like to tell people about the time I saw Urban - then with the band The Ranch - open for Joe Diffie at Indian Ranch in June 1997.

I went back and listened to Urban and started thinking I liked that song and that one too. Until, I was wishing that I had my hands on a copy of his Greatest Hits album.

I remember hearing "Your Everything" and "Where The Blacktop Ends", but the songs that have really hooked me on Urban are "Kiss A Girl" and 'Sweet Thing."

It's funny how you can tell yourself that you don't like something, and then, out of nowhere you realize that the songs have been catchy (and cool) all along.
