The Rock, etc.
Mike Sudhalter | May 23, 2009
Tracy Lawrence recently recorded The Rock, his first gospel album. The title track was originally performed by Todd Fritsch, and I liked Fritsch's version a lot better. I'm not sure why, but I just think he had a better approach to the song than Lawrence did.
I recently heard some of Daryl Worley's new music, and let's just say it's great that he's doing music on an independent label. This one is owned by longtime Nashville producer James Stroud. We'll talk more about it when I listen a few more times through, but it's definitely an improvement over Worley's 903 Music effort - which drifted away from his forte - which is traditional-based country music.
Can't hardly wait for this.....Jennifer Love Hewitt could be hitting the country charts. I'm not crazy about actors and other celebrities entering into the genre, but let's see what's she got.
