DFW-bound

I don't think I've been to too many historic concerts in my life. I wanted to attend Garth Brooks' 1997 Central Park show in New York City, but it didn't happen.

Whenever trivia questions come up about the first event at the New Cowboys Stadium (or whatever corporate sponsorship buys the naming rights to it), the answer will always be George Strait

Speaking of trivia questions, Where did the Los Angeles Lakers franchise originate? Clue it was not Minneapolis or Minnesota.

I'm not much of a Dallas Cowboys fan, but kudos to Jerry Jones for picking Strait along with Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough for the first-ever show at the magnificent new stadium. I never thought I'd use 'kudos' and 'Jerry Jones' in the same sentence.

It should be a heck of a show, and I look forward to telling y'all about it on Sunday when we return from the maze of freeways that is the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
