Drinkin' With the Stars

Mike Sudhalter  |  July 11, 2009

I've never watched that show, "Dancing With The Stars," because I've never been a fan of watching folks dance. With the exception of that Club Dance and Wildhorse Saloon shows that used to air on the now-defunct The Nashville Network (TNN).

It was so cool to go to the Wildhorse Saloon in Orlando, Fla. and later in Nashville.

But enough with the dancing.

So many stars get into hot water when they go out drinking (Kid Rock, John Rich). Others would probably be fun to hang out with and hear different stories and anecdotes from the road, from the business.

I've had the opportunity to hang out with some lower-level stars in honky-tonks and bars, and it's always cool to say 'I had a beer with so and so.' Or we were partying at the same place at 2 a.m., then listen to one of their hit records the next day.

Imagine picking a handful of people and having them go out and 'Drink With The Stars.' The only downside would be that the stars would probably be on their best behavior, and we'd have a final viewing product without any of the drama.
