Get better soon

Jeffrey Remz  |  August 31, 2012

Tough stretch here on the health front for a few country acts.

First off, our thoughts and prayers are with both Cactus Moser, the drummer for and husband of Wynonna Judd, and LeAnn Rimes, who is suffering from stress and anxiety.

Moser, who once upon a time also was in Highway 101, was injured in a motorcycle accident when a truck collided with him while he was riding bikes with Judd. Unfortunately, Moser also had part of his leg amputated as a result.

On her web site, Judd has remained strong in the face of the tragedy. Judd wrote, ""We continue to feel loved and supported by the outpouring of messages from people around the world. Cactus continues to improve every day as he begins his road to rehabilitation. We are looking forward to the day when we will be back together on stage again and I believe we will be stronger than ever. Until then I will be out on the road with the rest of the band while I wait lovingly and patiently for my husband to return to The Big Noise." Moser asked people to make donations on his behalf to Homes For Our Troops, a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to helping military personnel who have returned home with serious disabilities.

As for Rimes, who just turned 30 this week (hard to believe isn't it?), she checked herself into being treated for anxiety and stress. Her publicist made clear there was no substance abuse issue involved.

In effect, Rimes controlled the news by releasing the information. That's one way of dealing with busy bodies who search for this type of info high and low.

Let's hope that Rimes is able to deal with her issues and get back better than ever.

Our thoughts are with both Rimes, Moser and Judd.
