R.I.P. Vern Gosdin
Jessica Phillips | April 29, 2009

I'm sorry to hear that country star Vern Gosdin passed away at midnight last night.
The man behind the classics, "Chisled in Stone," and "Today My World Slipped Away," (which was later re-recorded by George Strait) was 74. Gosdin suffered a stroke several weeks ago.
It's a shame to see such a wonderful artist pass away. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
