Urban Talks about Aussie Pubs, Real Love, and his Humbling Moment

Jessica Phillips  |  May 19, 2009

Australia's The Daily Telegraph features a great interview with Keith Urban, if you haven't read it.

The crazy-talented guitarist talks about learning to play in Australia's pubs and bars, the ode to his wife in the liner notes of his new album, Defying Gravity, and about how this superstar remains humble.

During the interview, Keith recalls a moment in Mount Vernon, Virginia. He was leaving a gift shop there after a tour, when two older ladies' eyes lit up and they hurried over to ask for a photo.

Urban agreed, and got ready for the shot. At that point, they thrust the camera into his hands and shuffled back so he could take their photo.

With a deep belly laugh, he reflects, "Certainly a humbling moment."
