Jessica Phillips | May 27, 2009

George Strait has a lot to celebrate today. CBS is airing the George Strait: ACM Artist of the Decade special tonight at 8:00pm EST. He also releases his new single, "Living for the Night," which should be available at radio stations across the nation at NOON CDT tomorrow (May 28th).
During a GAC Nights interview, Reba McEntire and Jack Ingram talked about Strait's amazing career. "Everybody loves George Strait," Reba says. "He has hung in there throughout the years, and you know, the great song selection is - it always starts with the song. And he comes up with the greatest songs, so that's a great combination of why he's stayed in the business so long."
"George Strait defines what it means to be a Texan," Jack Ingram contributes. "He is completely his own man. He maintains high standards for himself, for his music and he always follows his own sense rather than other people's."
