A Look Inside Alan Jackson's $38 Million Dollar Mansion

Jessica Phillips  |  July 2, 2009

The King of Pop had Neverland, and the King of Rock & Roll had Graceland, but country music icons don't do too shabby, either. Alan Jackson recently put his 19,000 square foot SweetBriar estate, nestled just outside of Nashville near the beautiful Harpeth River, on the market. With six bedrooms, a 20-car garage, a gym, three ponds, and 135 acres, the word "mansion" seems too minute to describe the place. A "palace" or a "small-town-unto-itself" seems more fitting. And the cost? A mere $38 million dollars. Junk change, right?

So why leave such a beautiful home? "We realized, as our girls got older, that they don't really use the property much. Once they get to be teenagers, they're mostly hanging out with their friends and on the iPod and cell phones in their rooms. If I'd had three boys instead of girls, they might be out here fishing and riding four-wheelers or something," he explained.

Check out more pics of this abode here. Any takers?
