All-American Carrie Underwood to earn her Stars and Stripes
Jessica Phillips | July 9, 2009

It's no secret that Carrie Underwood does what she can to support our troops. She donned a uniform for her "All American Girl" video, and beautifully portrayed the girlfriend of a fallen soldier in her heartbreaking video for "Just a Dream." That video has to be one of the best in recent memory--the scenes of her dress turning from white to black as she walks down the aisle are stunning and the video takes the song itself to another level.
Having already performed for the troops in 2006 during a USO tour of Iraq and Kuwait, the singer is set to perform on her home turf for members of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell on August 14th (civilians are also invited). Joining her will be John Rich, Rodney Atkins, and Jake Owen.
Regarding her USO tour, Carrie said,"I'd never performed in front of a gun-toting audience before. People were very appreciative; people kept thanking us for being there. All I could say was, 'I get to go home in a week; you don't, so thank you.' "
I wonder if "Just a Dream" will be in the setlist.
