Kellie Pickler, Lee Ann Womack perform for CMA Songwriters Series

Jessica Phillips  |  August 3, 2009

Kellie Pickler

For the past five years, the successful CMA Songwriters Series brought top songwriters like Jeffrey Steele, Brett James, and Bob DiPiero to the Big Apple to showcase their latest and greatest hits. Now, with the help of blonde songbirds Kellie Pickler and Lee Ann Womack, the series is breaking into Los Angeles, CA and Chicago, IL.

On September 15th, Best Days of Your Life singer Kellie Pickler will bring her red high heels to the House of Blues in Los Angeles, CA, where she will be joined by Chris Lindsey (Amazed) and Aimee Mayo (Red High Heels). The show starts at 9:30pm PT. Hope the weather is nice there in California, Kellie.

Meanwhile, Lee Ann Womack may have to field a few last calls (or perhaps cat calls) of her own when she plays at Joe's Bar in Chicago, IL on October 2nd (the show starts at 8:30pm CT). She will be joined by Dean Dillon (who penned "A Lot of Things Different" for Kenny Chesney), and Scotty Emerick (who wrote "As Good As I Once Was" for Toby Keith). Womack will also perform during the Chicago Country Music Festival, a free festival that takes place on October 3 and 4 in Grant Park.
