Tim McGraw & Family Remember Senator Ted Kennedy
Jessica Phillips | August 27, 2009
Tim McGraw and his family posted a message in rememberance of the late Senator Ted Kennedy on the Tug McGraw Foundation website yesterday. This foundation was created after the passing of Tim McGraw's father, baseball player Tug McGraw, who passed away due to brain cancer.
"We are saddened to learn about the passing of Senator Edward Kennedy. On behalf of the Tug McGraw Foundation and Neighbor's Keeper Foundation, we extend our condolences to his family, friends, and supporters.
A dedicated public servant and a longtime champion of universal health care, Senator Kennedy was also a model of strength and courage during his year-long battle with brain cancer. In a recent Newsweek article, he said, "... I am resolved to see to it this year that we create a system to ensure that someday, when there is a cure for the disease I now have, no American who needs it will be denied it."
In his memory, and on behalf of the many men, women, and children who bravely fight this devastating diagnosis, we remain committed to raising funds for research that will enhance quality of life for patients with brain tumors and their families." --The McGraw Family
