Will Garth Brooks Headline a String of Vegas Shows?

Jessica Phillips  |  October 13, 2009

Rumors are swirling about the possibility of Garth Brooks coming out of retirement to perform several shows in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Weekly claims that Garth is set to headline shows at the Encore/ Casino and Resort. We will find out for certain when Garth Brooks himself makes the announcement in a press conference in Nashville on Thursday of this week.

Fans can catch the announcement via video on Garth's website on Thursday. One thing is certain, a concert series by Garth in 2010 will fill some of the concert void that is being left by Kenny Chesney now that Chesney is not touring in 2010.

Another thing that is certain is that Garth's love of drama and spectacle would fit in perfectly in Sin City. Swinging over the crowd? Tons of lights? That's Vegas style. Paint flowing from his suits in 'The Red Strokes'? Performing with fire in 'Standing Outside the Fire'? The drama of 'The Thunder Rolls'? That's all Vegas style.

Garth might show Vegas a thing or two.
