Brad Paisley to Co-Produce TV Drama Series Nashville

Jessica Phillips  |  October 15, 2009

I could learn a thing or two about time managment from Brad Paisley. He has a rigorous touring schedule, two young boys at home, and he still finds time to perform at the White House, sing at the "All For The Hall" charity event, and host the CMA Awards.

On top of all this, he has now signed on to co-produce a televison drama series, "Nashville," for the CW network. The drama revolves around two artists looking for fame in Nashville-one is a female singer who seems well on her way, and the other is a male singer/songwriter whose career may well be on the rocks.

Paisley is teaming with "One Tree Hill" Executive Producer Mark Schwahn and writers Matt Bomer and Neal Dodson. Paisley will not only write songs for the show, but will appear (as himself) on the show.

I assume he will give advice to the two young up-and-comers, similar to the American Idol mentor sessions? Or perhaps write songs with them? This should be a must-see series for any upcoming artists or singer-songwriters.
