It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's....Trace Adkins

Jessica Phillips  |  October 28, 2009

Montgomery Gentry may have made their way into the comic strip Nancy, but Trace Adkins has taken it to a new level.

On November 11, 12 Gauge Comics will release the first of a four-part comic series, Luke McBain. The series' publisher used Adkins' look and attitude as the basis for the comic's stick-carrying, cowboy-hatted hero.

Adkins surely has the burly build, impressive height, and deep, "take-no-crap" Southern drawl to warrant a comic book character. Like any good comic hero, he's lived through some pretty hard-knock situations, too.

After all, Trace Adkins has lost a finger, broken both arms, cut his nose off in a car crash, and was even shot through the heart. His comic book alter ego has a lot to live up to.
