Backed by Adam Haynes (fiddle), Jeff Parker (vocals/mandolin), and Jo Dean Jr. (bass vocals), they offered a live sampling of the new songs from their upcoming "Brothers From Different Mothers,", beginning with Head Hung Down. Please Don't Let Our Sweet Love Die featured a tightly-woven trio harmony, and a simple, charming guitar solo. The industry-only crowd held several luminaries and friends of the band, including Jimmy Capps (studio musician), the legendary Charlie Louvin and manager Don Light (manager for Jimmy Buffett, The Happy Goodman Family and Keith Whitley).
The call-and-response spiritual Oh Ye Must Be Born Again had some wonderfully complex harmonies, with the singers trading off harmonies and melody lines, and a beautiful mandolin solo by Parker. Haynes later pointed out that he has just started a new fitness regime. "It's called the 'No Carb Left Behind' diet," he joked.
Dailey next introduced an a capella song, My Savior, My God , which was literally breathtaking for some in the room. The group's perfect blend and succinct phrasing caused a standing ovation in the middle of the tune.
The rest of the band left the stage as Dailey & Vincent offered Winter's Come and Gone and Your Love is Like a Flower. As the duo regularly covers Statler Brother's songs in their sets, they brought the band back onstage Years Ago . They sounded slightly unsure on some parts, as it was their first time doing this song onstage, but they sounded polished anyway.
The band asked Lorianne Crook about being guests on her cooking show. "I make a good cheeseball...I make a good hairball, too!" joked Vincent. The group closed with the spiritual When I Reach My Home Up There.
