McCreery makes Billboard top 10

Sunday, March 25, 2018 – Scotty McCreery's new disc, "Seasons Change ," is the only country CD in the Billboard top 10.

McCreery scored his fifth top 10 album with the disc debuting at 7 with 40,000 units (34,000 in traditional album sales). The CD marks McCreery's debut for Thirty Tigers after having been with 19/Interscope/Mercury. McCreery released the hit "Five More Minutes" as the first single.

"It's been quite a journey these last few years, and to learn that 'Seasons Change' has debuted at number one on the Billboard Country Albums Chart is awesome and so gratifying," said McCreery. "I'm glad everyone is enjoying the new music. I am so thankful to my fans, who have always been so supportive. With a number one album, my first-ever number one single, and my upcoming wedding to the love of my life, I just don't see how 2018 can get any better."

The top selling CD in the U.S. was singer/rapper XXXTentacion's "?" moving 131,000 units.

Scotty McCreery is somewhat of a guilty pleasure. American Idol winners are supposed to sell albums, lots of them. With three with three number ones on his resume, McCreery has certainly done his job well. But commercial success sometimes has its burdens.
