Carrie Undewood promotes new CD
Monday, October 15, 2007 – Carrie Underwood will begin television appearances this weekend to promote her new album, "Carnival Ride," out Oct. 23. Her first performance is set as part of the Grand Ole Opry's 82nd Birthday Bash Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 20 when Underwood makes the television debut of her co-written single "So Small" on Opry Live on GAC. Additional appearances include Good Morning America Oct. 23 LIVE in Times Square, Live with Regis and Kelly Oct. 24 and on Friday, Oct. 26 Underwood will perform on the CBS Early Show.
Underwood then goes to Los Angeles for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Monday, Oct. 29 followed the next week by a performance on The Ellen Show Nov. 5. Later in the week, Underwood will make her third appearance on the 41st Annual CMA Awards set for Nov. 7 in Nashville where she is a triple nominee. Underwood is also slated for another appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Nov. 13.
GAC's Country Across America will also feature a sit down with host Storme Warren on Thursday, Oct. 18, and Underwood will also appear on GAC Nights Oct. 23. CMT Insider will air an exclusive interview with Underwood and host Katie Cook on Saturday, Oct. 20.
More television appearances will be announced soon for November and December.

Carrie Underwood's gospel music album may not be traditional in the sense that she sings these songs the same way she heard them as a child growing up. However, on the traditional/modern country music spectrum, this album leans closer to traditional country music than just about anything Underwood's recorded. Underwood always sings well, no matter how her songs are arranged, but it's a true treat to hear that voice without much of the big production that usually accompanies it.
