"Drunk Girl" goes to video

Tuesday, May 22, 2018 – Chris Janson released the video today for his latest single "Drunk Girl."

Drunk Girl," written by Janson, Tom Douglas, and Scooter Carusoe, was directed by Jeff Venable. The song was written from a concerned father's perspective, and the music video paints a portrait of a young girl as she experiences relationships throughout her life.

"We don't ever want to offend anybody," says Janson. "but man, it's almost a disservice if you don't bring light to some subjects that are so important and don't get talked about nearly as much as they should."

Janson and the crew filmed the video on Lower Broadway in Nashville.

Janson is the newest and youngest living Opry member. He is opening this summer on Jake Owen's "Life's Whatcha Make It 2018 Tour."

CD reviews for Chris Janson

CD review - Real Friends "Real Friends" is a showcase for the rubberband quality of Chris Janson's voice. He's got a Mel Tillis stammer in "Check" and a Florida Georgia Line yowl in "Normal People." Kenny Chesney should get a royalty check on "Everybody's Going Through Something." But what's noticeably different about Janson is touch. His songs deftly sprinkle on a dash of horns, rock or hip-hop. But it's all county-infused flavors added by a chef in control. ...
CD review - Everybody Chris Janson's full-length release, "Everybody," includes the same party songs that first appeared on his "Fix A Drink" EP. And while the full length adds more evidence for his image as a good time party starter, it also reveals his softer side, presenting a more well-rounded performer. "Bein' A Dad" is a quiet, sentimental song about parenthood. When Janson sings, "God, I love bein' a dad," he sounds just like Eric Church, a performer ...
CD review - Fix a Drink EP The title track for Chris Janson's "Fix a Drink" mines much the same territory of his humorous 2015 single "Buy Me a Boat." It's a song about innocent escapism. Janson may not be the best man to resolve the world's many overwhelming problems, but he can make a killer alcoholic beverage. That's as far as he goes as a fixer. This five-song EP is a relatively light-hearted little project. "Everybody" speaks to the elevated expectations of most humans. ...
