Chesney, "Meant to Be" lead charts

Wednesday, August 8, 2018 – Kenny Chesney debuted in second on the Billboard chart with his new disc "Songs for the Saints," which also led the Top Country Albums chart. "Meant to Be" from Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line stays another week atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week ending Aug. 11.

Cody Jinks debuted in second with "Lifers," his debut for Rounder. Luke Combs was third with "This One's For You," Jason Aldean fourth with "Rearview Town and "Dan+ Shay" fifth.

Almost every album in the top 50 went down in chart position. Kelsea Ballerini went from 48 to 44 with "Unapologetically."

Chesney was second on the songs chart with "Get Along." Dan + Shay were third with "Tequila," Brett Young fourth with "Mercy" and FGL fifth with "Simple."

Luke Bryan cracked the top 10 with "Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset," up 4 to 10. Texas singer Mitchell Tenpenny debuted at 21 with "Drunk Me." Chris Young was at 30 with "Hangin' On," up 3. Carly Pearce stood at 31 with "Hide the Wine," up 4. Dierks Bentley was 44th with "Burning Man," featuring Brothers Osborne. Chris Stapleton was 40th with "Millionaire," up 4.

On the Bluegrass Albums chart, Punch Brothers celebrated a second week at number one with "All Ashore." We Banjo 3 debuted in second with "Haven." The Native Howl debuted in third with "Out of the Garden And Into the Darkness." Old Crow Medicine Show was fourth with "Volunteer" and Bradley Walker fifth with "Blessed: Hymns And Song of Faith."

Jinks topped the Americana/Folk Albums chart. Chris Stapleton was second with "Traveller," Boz Scaggs third with "Out of the Blues," Stapleton fourth with "From a Room: Volume 1" and "Simon And Garfunkel's Greatest Hits" fifth.

Jinks was 11th on the Top 200 chart. Combs was at 13. Aldean was 27th and Dan + Shay 33rd.
