Swindell, Owens drop new (and old) sounds
Friday, August 17, 2018 – Cole Swindell hopes his hit-making machinery success will continue with "All Of It." Michael Carter produced the dozen-song set, his third studio album. The lead single was "Break Up in the End." The Georgian's first seven singles included six number ones and a number two.
A new, but very old Buck Owens disc is out today. "Country Singer's Prayer" was Owens' final Capitol album from 1975, but remained unissued until now. His contract with Capitol was due to expire at the end of the year, and he and the Buckaroos readied one final album for the label in November 1975. When the title track single failed, the album was shelved. That was until Omnivore Recordings decided to release it.
