Sony signs Marlowe

Friday, June 26, 2020 – A former participant in The Voice, Kameron Marlowe, signed to the Columbia Nashville imprint, the label announced today.

"I couldn't be more excited to be joining the Columbia team," said Marlowe, a native of Kannapolis, N.C.. "It still feels like a dream that I haven't woken up from. I'm so thankful to Sony for believing in me."

Marlowe tweeted that he signed the deal in January, but it wasn't announced until today.

Marlowe debuted his new song, "Burn 'Em All," today. Marlowe recently inked an exclusive, global publishing deal with Sony/ATV and released an acoustic version of his autobiographical, self-penned breakout hit " Giving You Up."

Marlowe sold car parts at General Motors for a living before he got a call that changed his life. A recruiter from NBC's "The Voice" found performance videos of Marlowe on YouTube and reached out with an offer to take him straight to the series' live auditions. He didn't win, but forged relationships with Nashville songwriters.

Marlowe made the 13-hour drive to Nashville before giving that up to move there.

Marlowe was influenced by artists ranging from Brooks & Dunn and George Strait to Travis Tritt and Ray Charles.
