Tucker, Owen, Ray, Young join Concert for Love & Acceptance

Tuesday, June 30, 2020 – Tanya Tucker, Jake Owen, Michael Ray and Brett Young are among the artists participating in the Concert for Love & Acceptance at 7 p.m. eastern tonight.

The annual event celebrates LGBT Pride Month and will be broadcast on Facebook and YouTube.

Ty Herndon, Kristin Chenoweth and CMT's Cody Alan will host the event.

"Nashville is rapidly changing, and country music is becoming an increasingly affirming place for LGBTQ artists and fans. Now in our fifth year, we thought it was more important than ever to shine a light on some of the amazing up-and-coming LGBTQ talent, and we're so pleased to showcase the music of Shelly, Harper, and Brandon," said Herndon.

Other singers participating include Lauren Alaiina,Lewis Brice Terri Clark, Everette, Shelly Fairchild, Billy Gilman, Harper Grae, Mickey Guyton, Indigo Girls, Wendy Moten, Jamie O'Neal, Dennis Quaid, Kalie Shorr, Rita Wilson and Chely Wright.

GLAAD and Herndon created the first Concert for Love and Acceptance in 2015 shortly after Herndon became the first male country artist to come out as gay. GLAAD is a media monitoring group that promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer equality.
