Guyton's third EP set for September

Thursday, August 13, 2020 – Mickey Guyton, the lone Black female country artist on a major label, is releasing her new EP, " Bridges," on Sept. 11.

The six-song project includes her current song "Heaven Down Here" and her recent release "Black Like Me," considered particularly poignant in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.

Guyton has been with Capitol Nashville since 2011, but has only released EPs in 2014 and 2015, leading to the artist expressing frustration. In recent months, she has attracted attention due to the discussion of racial issues in the U.S.

"This has been a labor of love," Guyton posted on Instagram. "I can't believe I'm finally releasing new music! Everything I do is for you. Thank you for awlays believing. I promise it does not go unnoticed. Love you guys so much."

The track listing is:
"Heaven Down Here" - (Mickey Guyton, Gordie Sampson, Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey)
"Bridges" - (Mickey Guyton, Karen Kosowski, Victoria Banks, Emma-Lee)
"What Are You Gonna Tell Her?" - (Mickey Guyton, Karen Kosowski, Victoria Banks, Emma-Lee)
"Rosé" - (Mickey Guyton, Victoria Banks, Karen Kosowski)
"Salt" - (Mickey Guyton, Jesse Frasure, Carly Barlowe, Steven Lee Olsen)
"Black Like Me" - (Mickey Guyton, Nathan Chapman, Fraser Churchill, Emma Davidson-Dillon)
