For Underwood, it's her "Favorite Time of the Year"

Thursday, November 12, 2020 – Carrie Underwood released an original holiday song, "Favorite Time of Year," today exclusively with Amazon Music.

The song can be streamed individually and will also appear as a bonus track on Amazon Music's version of her debut Christmas album, "My Gift."

Underwood and "Favorite Time of Year" will also be featured in Ring's brand-new Doorbell Season holiday campaign airing across national TV and online. W

Underwood, Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano wrote the song, which was produced by "My Gift" album producer Greg Wells.

"'Favorite Time of Year' is a joyful, super happy and fun Christmas song because it is about all of the things that make you happy this time of year, and it puts you in the mood to celebrate," said Underwood. "I can't help but smile when I sing it, it just brightens my day and I'm thrilled to share it today only on Amazon Music."

"My Gift," which came out in September, is Underwood's first holiday release. The disc features a combination of beloved traditional favorites celebrating the spirituality of Christmas plus several new originals. In addition to an appearance by Underwood's five-year-old son, Isaiah Fisher, on the holiday classic that inspired the album title, "Little Drummer Boy," "My Gift" also features her first collaboration with John Legend, on the original track, "Hallelujah," written by Legend and Toby Gad ("All of Me").

CD review - Cry Pretty Carrie Underwood's life was reading straight from the storybooks: one of the few American Idol Winners with ongoing success; a professional athlete for a husband; a beautiful baby boy. The string of great fortune turned sharply in 2017, when Underwood began the unfathomable experience of three consecutive lost pregnancies. This was atop a frightening fall at her home that ended with her face in nearly 50 stitches. Sharing these moments with her fans makes the beamingly-beautiful singer ...
CD review - Storyteller Carrie Underwood's powerful voice has been her calling card throughout her career, and that is no different on her latest. She has always possessed a voice that can be chameleon-like and work with the material at hand. Underwood does that again on these 13 songs, 6 of which she helped pen. Underwood knows a thing or two about writing or finding material that fits her commercial orientation as almost all 13 could conceivably be picked as singles. They are big sounding, big voiced and radio ready. ...
