McGraw releases Xmas song
Friday, December 11, 2020 – Tim McGraw went the holiday season route today musically with the release of "It Wasn't His Child" today.
McGraw first performed the Christmas standard at the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway and most recently reprised it on this year's CMA Country Christmas, which will re-air Dec. 21 at 10 p.m. eastern on ABC.
Originally written and performed by Skip Ewing, McGraw's version was arranged and co-produced by his longtime band leader Danny Hemingson along with Steve Gibson and Byron Gallimore.
"It's been a crazy year, and we've worked hard to put out music, knowing how much it can mean and provide solace in difficult times," McGraw said. "This is our final chance to thank everyone for sticking with us this year and more importantly, provide some Christmas spirit to you this holiday season."
