Dierks Bentley releases fourth single
Monday, December 3, 2007 – Dierks Bentley will release a fourth single "Trying To Stop Your Leaving" off "Long Trip Alone" on Jan. 28, 2008. Written by Bentley, Jim Beavers and Brett Beavers, Bentley said, "There is a real sense of urgency and emotion in the story of this song. I actually took some time off the road to make sure my voice was the strongest instrument in the room that day, and I'm really proud of this recording."
Nominated for Country Music Association's Album of the Year award, "Long trip Alone" debuted at number one on the Billboard chart and has generated 2 number 1 hit songs ("Every Mile A Memory," "Free & Easy (Down the Road I Go)"), while the title cut also spent multiple weeks in the Top 10.
Bentley currently is touring with Jack Ingram. Bentley's "Throttle Wide Open" tour will continue into 2008 with openers Bucky Covington and Luke Bryan joining the high-octane dates in February.
