Outlaw plans new CD

Tuesday, August 10, 2021 – Traditional country singer Sam Outlaw will release a new CD later this year.

Outlaw's "For The Rest Of Our Lives" is out this Friday, August 13. The song was penned by Outlaw and Steven Fiore (Ryan Cabrera, Natasha Bedingfield), and it was produced, engineered and recorded by Cheyenne Medders at the DepartureRoom in Nashville. It also features Aaron Haynes of The Texas Gentlemen and Quaker City Nighthawks on drums.

"Once we started recording this one, all the other songs had to rise up’to meet it, said Outlaw. "Lyrically, it’s fairly straight forward - a love story about failure, forgiveness and redemption. I wrote the hook, but I couldn’t figure out how to end the chorus - that is, until a talented songwriter named Steven Fiore (Young Mister) showed up at my door. I sang him the chorus, and the first thing out of his mouth was the resolution line, we can drive each other crazy.’It was a beautiful moment, and I’ll never forget it."

Outlaw, 39, previously released "Angeleno" in 2017, "Tenderheart" in 2019 and the "Hat Act" EP in 2019.

Outlaw moved his family to Nashville in the middle of a pandemic. The sound is different than previous efforts thanks to fretless bass, synthesizers, drum machines and stacked vocals.
