Aldean pays homage to home with new release

Monday, September 27, 2021 – Jason Aldean announced his 10th studio album, "Macon, Georgia," today, a 30-song double album, not set for full release until April 2022.

In addition to the new project's Top 5 smash hit single "If I Didn't Love You" with Carrie Underwood, on Nov. 12 fans will have access to nine more new tracks and five live tracks. Over the course of the following months, Aldean will continue to deliver new songs leading into the full release of all 30 tracks - 20 new and at least one live hit off each of his previous albums - on April 22, 2022. The full release will also be marked by a commemorative three-disc vinyl set.

"Where you were raised has such a big influence on who you become and for me it's no different...especially from a music standpoint," Aldean said. "My little hometown of Macon was heavily instrumental in my musical background. Growing up in an environment that was a crossroads between country music, Southern rock, blues and R&B, it was just natural to blend different sounds in my on way."

Working with longtime producer Michael Knox, the release's first batch, "Macon," runs the gamut from stadium rockers to bluesy barstool ballads. Aldean also goes with hard rock, barroom ballads, hip hop and R&B.

CD reviews for Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean's 10th studio album "Georgia "initially seems like yeoman's effort. As the second half of a double album that follows last year's "Macon," the collection boasts 30 songs; 20 are new. It is a more than a respectable length for a single album. The remainder of the effort is padded with live tracks. The obvious question is why so long? In Adean's case, he said he has always leaned toward having more songs than less. Upon a sit down listen you get ...

CD review - 9 Hollywood may be pushing a broadminded agenda where there are more genders than one can even count, but in Jason Aldean's world, there are only two: tough guys, and the women that love them. There's no confusion it's a guy in the "Camouflage Hat," for example. Also, nothing is said or done without also washing it down with alcohol. The opener,"Tattoos and Tequila," breaks it down into tattoos to remember, and tequila to forget. Within its booze for every ...
CD review - Rearview Town If you liked Jason Aldean's three previous number one albums, you'll like "Rearview Town." He sticks to the winning formula that has brought him past success. The 15 tracks are mainly juiced up, muscular numbers with scorching guitar. Ironically, amid the torrid tempos and high volume that dominate the collection, the ballads are the standouts, especially with the duet with the Miranda Lambert on "Drowns The Whiskey." Instead of whiskey drowning a memory, the inverse ...
