Nefesh Mountain announces live disc, holiday tour
The music was originally recorded in 2020 as part of the group's livestream event filmed at Helm's studios outside of Woodstock, N.Y.
Nefesh Mountain will embark on "A Hanukkah Holiday Tour" beginning Nov. 27 in Rockport, Mass. and ending in Nashville on Dec. 15.
The songs are a combination of original material written by the band's founders (husband and wife Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff), traditional tunes, classics written by James Taylor and Bob Dylan, and three lesser-known Hanukkah songs written by Woody Guthrie.
"For us, Hanukkah is about the miracles in our lives that surround us every day," said Lindberg and Zasloff in a press release. "These songs remind us of that magic and the joy that we feel during the holidays — dancing, singing, eating and being close to our friends and loved ones."
Musicians on the live recording are Zasloff: vocals, Lindberg: guitar, banjo, vocals; Alan Grubner: violin, Maddie Witler: mandolin and Max Johnson: bass.
