Townes looks at the "Villian in Me"

Thursday, October 28, 2021 – Tenille Townes will release a new song, "Villian in Me," on Nov. 5, she announced on social media today.

"You guys have truly given me the courage to release this song," the Canadian singer posted on Instagram. "I'm equal parts a basket of nerves and excited about it."

Townes released the well-received "The Lemonade Stand" in June 2020. That was her first U.S. full-length release after two previous indie releases and two EPs on Sony Nashville. Townes received airplay with "Somebody's Daughter" and "Jersey on the Wall (I'm Just Asking)."

In June, Townes put out the song "Girl Who Didn't Care." The song went to number five on the Canadian charts, but has yet to make a dent on this side of the border.
