Block welcomes people to the party

Wednesday, February 2, 2022 – Priscilla Block announced the Welcome To The Block Party Tour, her first headlining tour.

Block, a North Carolina native, started gaining attention in 2020 with her viral hit "Just About Over You." Her current single is "My Bar."

"Well holy cow y'all," she said. "My first headlining tour. Is this real life? I cannot wait for you to hear this album live and for you to experience the Block Party in person. Not long ago, I was quarantining and posting my songs on social media, hoping that the day would come where I could sing songs again in person... and here we are with a whole tour."

Early in the pandemic, Block was struggling to make ends meet after losing her job and her apartment. Unable to get out and play in person due to Covid-19, she began experimenting on TikTok and developed a fanbase with songs like "Thick Thighs," "PMS" and "Just About Over You." Fans rallied together to independently fund Block's recording of "Just About Over You."

CD reviews for Priscilla Block

CD review - Welcome To The Block Party Whether she sings sad or happy, at her best, Priscilla Block may remind you of Miranda Lambert. Even when the production for "Welcome To The Block Party" gets a little too loud and busy, nothing can drown out Block's downhome country singing style. Same goes for Lambert. However, Block consistently comes through as a special talent on this important new album. Block's conversational singing style during "Peaked In High School" especially brings Lambert to mind. ...
