ACM awards: Lambert wins Entertainer of the Year
Lambert wasn't in the house at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas because she was in London for shows.
"Oh my gosh," said Lambert. "I cannot believe I'm not there to celebrate. I have some shows in London...I've bee waiting this for a really really long time. I actually never thought this would happen."
In a shout out to female performers, Lambert said, "We did it."
This was one of two honors for the singer. Lambert and Elle King were announced as winners of the ACM Award for Video of the Year for "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)" produced by Angie Lorenz, Wes Edwards, and James Stratakis and directed by Alexa and Stephen Kinigopoulos.
Carly Pearce took home Female Artist of the Year, while Chris Stapleton won the Male Artist of the Year.
Morgan Wallen won Album of the Year for "Dangerous: The Double Album" at the ACM Awards.
Wallen took a few deep breaths before reading from his phone. He never addressed the racist incident of January 2021 that got him into trouble. At the end, he said, "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you" to his fans.

Brothers Osborne won the first live award of the night - Duo of the Year. "We never ever expect these," said John Osborne. "We couldn't have done it without you."
Old Dominion won Group of the Year for the fifth consecutive year.
Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood took home Song of the Year for Single of the Year for "If I Didn't Love You." Aldean said,"Thanks to Carrie first of all for agreeing to do this song."
Several ACM awards were handed out on Monday prior to the full-blown ACM Awards show.
Carley Pearce and Ashley McBryde won the ACM Award for Music Event of the Year for "Never Wanted To Be That Girl." The song was produced by Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.
Michael Hardy was announced as the ACM Award Songwriter of the Year. Previously announced winners include Parker McCollum (New Male Artist of the Year) and Lainey Wilson (New Female Artist of the Year), both who will perform live in the show.
