McCollum plays it Strait

Friday, March 11, 2022 – Parker McCollum, the newly awarded ACM New Male Artist of the Year, is releasing a cover of the George Strait classic, "Carrying Your Love With Me."

McCollum, a Texas native, has cited Strait as a big influence. "Impossible to truly do this song justice but when I got the opportunity to try, I just couldn't pass it up," said McCollum.

The song has not been on any album by McCollum. Strait recorded the song for his 1997 release of the same name. McCollum released his major label debut "Gold Chain Cowboy," last July after two independent releases. McCollum had a hit single last year with "To Be Loved by You" off "Gold Chain Cowboy."

McCollum also preformed "Pretty Heart" during the ACMs on Monday. Tomorrow night, McCollum makes his RODEOHOUSTON debut to a sold-out crowd.
