Sister Sadie inks with Mountain Home

Thursday, April 28, 2022 – Bluegrass super group Sister Sadie is signing with Mountain Home Music, it was announced today.

Sister Sadie had released "Sister Sadie" in 2016 and "Sister Sadie II" in 2018,both on Pinecastle.

The group is comprised of Deanie Richardson on fiddle and vocals, Gena Britt on banjo, Jaelee Roberts on vocals and guitar, Hasee Ciacco on bass and Mary Meyer on mandolin and vocals. Dale Ann Bradley was a member for the first two albums and tina Adair on "II."

Sister Sadie launched in the wake of a one-off show at Nashville's World Famous Station Inn in 2012. That led to being International Bluegrass Music Association's Entertainer of the Year in 2020, as well as Vocal Group of the Year in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Richardson was Fiddle Player of the Year in 2020 and Roberts vocalist of the year in 2020. Britt and Richardson have been with the group since the start.

"Sister Sadie is incredibly excited to be a part of the Mountain Home Family," the band said in a statement. "We are looking forward to making a new record soon with this amazing team. On behalf of Gena, Deanie, Hasee, Jaelee and Mary, thank you for believing in us and giving us a place to make more Sister Sadie music."

"Sister Sadie has already had quite an impact on bluegrass," said Mountain Home's Jon Weisberger. "Their awards are testimony to that, but I believe a look at the esteem that musician like Gena and Deanie have among their colleagues, and at the breadth of the group's audience, tells the story at least as well as the trophies. We think the best is yet to come for Sister Sadie's music, and we're looking forward to bringing it to the world."

The group is scheduled to begin recording for Mountain Home later this summer.

Roberts just announced her own deal with the label earlier this week.
