Braden reaches American Song Contest finals

Wednesday, May 4, 2022 – Tyler Braden secured his spot in the finale of NBC's newest competition show American Song Contest on Monday.

Representing Tennessee in the inaugural season of the show, Braden won America's vote as well as the judges'. Braden performed his original "Seventeen (From 'American Song Contest')."

The season premiered on March 21 and airs for eight weeks with solo artists, duos, groups and bands representing each state and performing a new original track to win the country's vote for the best hit song.

The live competition consists of three rounds as the acts compete in a series of qualifying rounds, followed by the Semi-Finals and Finals. Braden will be participating in the Grand Finale on Monday, May 9 where a winner will be named.

Braden enjoyed other good news lately. He married his longtime girlfriend Marisa Taylor in a wedding with family and friends in Joshua Tree National Park on Saturday, April 23.
