Galyon, Positive Vibrations, Tyminski release today
Positive Vibrations, a group of Jamaican musicians, are out with "Country Goes Reggae." The 11-track project recreates the musical arrangements behind country songs, fusing together with reggae. The mashup from producers Christian and Frank Berman (The Berman Brothers) and partner Ron Oehl features the vocals from Jimmie Allen, Randy Houser, Alexandra Kay, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Landon Parker, Chase Rice, Uncle Kracker, Lainey Wilson Alabama and Dolly Parton. Positive Vibrations includes Ian "Beezy" Coleman (Ziggy and Damian Marley, Wyclef, Fugees), Devon Bradshaw (Burning Spear), Guillaume "Stepper Sax" Briard and Henry Matic Tune (UB40, Aswad, Dennis Brown)
Dan Tyminski is out with an EP, "One More Time Before You Go: A Tribute To Tony Rice." Tyminski was influenced by the acoustic guitarist Rice, who passed away. Tyminski called fellow guitarist and multiple IBMA Award-winner Josh Williams—who had also played with Rice, to help out along with Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush and Todd Phillips
