Young postpones UK tour due to COVID

Wednesday, August 24, 2022 – The week started off great for Chris Young, but it didn't stay that way.

Young scored his 13th number one single with "At the End of a Bar" with Mitchell Tenpenny and United Kingdom tour plans.

But COVID intervened forcing Young to cancel shows.

"Unfortunately, COVID has hit my band, and we are forced to cancel shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, London and the Long Road Festival."

Young was slated to play Glasgow, Scotland on Aug. 25. Manchester, England Aug. 30, Bristol, England on Aug. 31 and London on Aug. 31. Young was one of the headliners of the Festival, slated Aug. 26-28 I Leicestershire, England.

The Festival tweeted, "We were excited to welcome Chris to The Long Road to close off Saturday on the Rhinestone Stage and are gutted he and his band won't able to join us, but wish them a speedy recovery. Our team are (sic) currently working hard to review Saturday's line-up and a further update will follow."

"I am excited to play all the new music from 'Famous Friends' for fans in the UK, and we will update you soon on plans to reschedule the run of shows."

Young's next schedule show is Sept. 23 in Indio, Cal.
