Roberts goes "Another Round"

Tuesday, January 31, 2023 – Reyna Roberts today announced that her new song "Another Round" featuring Tayler Holder will be released Feb. 10 via EMPIRE led by the Nashville division.

The song will presumably be on Roberts' debut album expected later this year.

Written by Roberts alongside Laura Veltz and Jimmy Robbins, Roberts said, "I really wanted to play around with the different meanings that the phrase 'another round' could have. My goal was to create a story that touched on all of the different ways people could be apprehensive to have 'another round' in life – whether it's another round of a relationship, drinks or any other vice. And at the time I had the idea for this song, I had never been in a relationship, so I wrote the lyrics purely from imagination. Then sometime later when I went through a break-up, I truly understood the feelings behind the music."

Lyrics include:
"Boy, I can't afford another round.
I'm calling it a night.
Don't need another memory to drown
Hope you get home alright.
Cause all we really are is whatever we are, alone together in this bar.
I'm closing it out.
We're just a handle for each other.
Boy, I can't afford another round."

"I love 'Another Round' as a solo record, but ultimately thought it would be great to add a male voice on the track," said Roberts. "I immediately thought of my friend Tayler. We've known each other for a long time, before either of us moved to Nashville. We knew that this was the perfect song for us to collaborate on."

"Another Round" follows Roberts latest single "Pretty Little Devils."

NFL Network recently used her song "See Me Win" as part of their 2023 Spotlight Series. Her debut single "Stompin' Grounds" was also featured during ESPN's Monday Night Football throughout the 2020 season. She also released singles "67 (Winchester)," "Raised Right" and "Countdown To Victory."

The daughter of two Army combat engineers, the singer-songwriter was inspired by the country, rock, and pop influences she listened to growing up in Alabama, including Christina Aguilera, Gretchen Wilson, Beyoncé and The Chicks.
