Evans discovers "Life Upside Down"

Wednesday, April 5, 2023 – Morgan Evans announced a five-song release, "Life Upside Down EP," will be out April 21 on Warner.

Evans released the music video for his latest single, "On My Own Again," via YouTube Premiere. Evans penned the song with Zach Kale and Geoff Warburton. Chris DeStefano produced the set, which also includes the viral single, "Over For You," about the end of his marriage.

"I called the EP 'Life Upside Down' because this collection of music could only have come from this time, when my life felt exactly that. To me, these five tracks journey through unexpected heartbreak, self-rediscovery, new beginnings and a new found gratitude for the present moment."

The video features footage taken from Evans' five-part documentary series directed by Peter John showcasing Evans' travels from around the world as he picks-up the pieces from his divorce from Kelsea Ballerini and looks forward to a life of uncertainty.

"Eight shows, seven countries, three bicycles, two goats and one camel. For a song documenting a poignant moment in my life, I thought it'd be appropriate to make a video the same way. I invited the guys behind the 'Over For You' music video and the docuseries on the road in Morocco, Europe, Ireland and the UK for one of the adventures of my life so far," Evans said.

The track list is:
1.Over For You
2. On My Own Again
4. Hey Little Mama
4. All Right Here
5. Over For You (Live in Melbourne)

CD review - Things That We Drink To Morgan Evans' U.S. debut a matter of personal preference. It straddles the line between repetitious and tedious. If you like radio friendly, cliched three-minute singles, then this half hour is for you. He is clearly following the formula that powered his international single," Kiss Somebody" to number one in the U.S. 2017 was a busy year for Evans between moving to the U.S. from Australia and marrying Kelsea Ballerini. She serves as his muse on several of the songs, clearly ...
CD review - Morgan Evans There's been a window in Morgan Evans' life where he has had the unusual experience of living in the shadow of his own personal life. If Nashville had a Homecoming Court, Kelsea Ballerini would surely be in it. And Evans must have disappointed legions of men by marrying her in 2017. But while the groom had some buzz as a singer/songwriter in his own right, much of the familiarity with his work stayed on the shores of his native Australia. He finally took the plunge in 2017 to pursue ...
