Zoe & Cloyd hope "We'll Meet Again"
The song is on their upcoming May release, "Songs Of Our Grandfathers," coming out May 19.
The disc from the Asheville, N.C. couple, weaves together the musical legacies of Natalya Zoe Weinstein and John Cloyd Miller's families. Both of their grandfathers were involved in music — klezmer and bluegrass respectively.
Ahead of the album release, Zoe & Cloyd have released four singles from the album, including "We'll Meet Again Sweetheart."
Miller said, "This classic bluegrass number was one of four sides my grandfather Jim Shumate recorded with Flatt & Scruggs for the Mercury label in 1948. That early lineup of the Foggy Mountain Boys — featuring Jim, Mac Wiseman, Cedric Rainwater and, of course, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs — was a force of nature and set the standard for bluegrass moving forward. We were excited to revisit the energy and tastefulness of that iconic recording."

For those who like their bluegrass with a twist, here is "klezgrass," a blend of bluegrass and klezmer, an instrumental musical tradition of the Ashkenazi Jews of Central and Eastern Europe. Married musicians, if they can already sing individually, tend to make wonderful harmonies together. There's something about the familiarity and safety of two people in love that promote pitches that mesh. Zoe and Cloyd show this off terrifically. Gathering a solid following in their home base around Asheville, N.C., the duo has carved out a space for themselves in a crowded Americana scene.

The North Carolina-based duo Zoe & Cloyd created a beautiful folk album with "Eyes Brand New." The pair accomplishes lovely harmonies and an array of songs with an impressive amount of emotional depth, whether that's through thoughtful lyrics or compelling instrumentals.
The instrumental "Underground Railroad" is one of the stars. Even without lyrics, it evokes deep emotion and spirit and celebrates Zoe & Cloyd's Appalachian roots.
