Parton announces 30-song rock set due in November.

Tuesday, May 9, 2023 – Dolly Parton will release a 30-song rock set, "Rockstar," on Nov. 17 via Butterfly Records with distribution by Big Machine Label Group.

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Pin, Sting, John Fogerty, Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks are on the release.

The disc includes nine originals and 21 covers. The release will be available as a 4 LP, a 2 CD set, digital download and on all streaming services.

The lead track off Rockstar is the timely original "World on Fire," and is available this Thursday, May 11, to coincide with the world premiere performance of the song at the ACM Awards.

"This is a song I felt very inspired to write. I think it speaks about everything and to everyone this day and time. I hope it is something that will touch you and maybe touch enough people to want to make a change for the better."

On Thursday, Parton and Garth Brooks cohost the ACM awards.
